Hey thanks visiting my Open Doors page.

As you all know I am doing the Virgin London Marathon. My first marathon. I got a ballot place- so don't need to raise funds for charity, but thought I may as well seeing thats its a good oppurtunity. I have trained in the snow, wind, rain and volcano ash(thats why I won't be flying through the course:) I have done miles and miles of running, including at altitude in Johannesburg and in beautiful scenery in the Western Cape, but most of my training was done on the Virgin London Marathon route, as I am lucky to live on the route in Rotherhithe.

I have chosen Open Doors as one of my charities because I have supported them in prayer and with funds for some time now. I also believe local Christians should spread the word and not foreigners who don't understand the culture, circumstances,dynamics or beliefs of a specific group of people. We can only support them I feel. This is why I would like to support Open Doors as they support persecuted Christians worldwide, where, in some places Christians lose their lives or family members for what they believe.
