As part of LHC’s nominated charity for the year, I will be fundraising for the London & South East team. 

I know only to well how it affects individuals and families when there safe place of their home is no longer there. 

Having worked in the housing sector over 15yrs and worked really closely with individuals and families to keep their home when they are faced with eviction. So many have vulnerabilities and some with addictions that end up in circumstances where they lose that safe place to call home. 

It’s about empathy, understanding and empowerment to overcome what life throws at you. Everyone’s situation is different and it’s getting rid of bias and starting to understand rather than judge. 

With all the current challenges of fuel poverty and rising household costs the impact is huge, which in turn will drive further individuals and families into becoming homeless.
