Both of my granddads died from lung cancer and both were supported in their final days by volunteer nurses.  The support and the respite that was provided to my family, free of charge, at such a difficult time meant so much to us.  Marie Curie nurses offer free nursing care, including overnight, to terminally ill people as well as support for family and friends.  I'm raising money to help them carry on their work.

I have now completed my 100 mile challenge, taking it all the way to the wire with a final 5.2km swim on 31 August.

2 March 2016 - 21.72 miles (first channel crossing done!)

21 April - 43.15 miles (finished 2nd channel crossing)

29 June - 69.25 miles (finished 3rd channel crossing)

25 July - 85.41 miles  (finished 4th channel crossing) (14.59 mile to go)

31 August - 100.09 miles (FINISHED!!!!!!!!!!)
