It was towards the end of last year that a few of us had just went out for a bit of lunch and chatting   about the idea of a cycling adventure, one  friend asked; 'how do you fancy cycling from the Calais (North) to Montpellier (South) of France’.

Now 8 months on seems very real and with only 1 month to go before we set off. We are cycling around 725 miles in 8 days from Calais to Montpellier. There is 6 of us in total all embarking on this adventure, some for charity and others just because they are mad!

After initially thinking I would just do it for the experience and to say that I had, I had many generous offers and enquiries from friends and family asking if they could sponsor me, so I decide I should raise money for a charity and not waste this golden opportunity. I decided to choose West Suffolk Hospital Breast Cancer Unit as it is personal to me, as it was the place they treated and took very good care of my mum 12 years ago and without them she wouldn’t be lucky enough to be here today.  I want to help them continue their good work in helping everyone that has to attend West Suffolk Breast Cancer Unit.
