My Dad Bob sadly passed away on 30th July 2021, at just 67 years old. 

I was fortunate enough to be able to have a final conversation with him before he passed, during which I promised him that I would be completing some kind of physical challenge to raise money for Muscular Dystrophy UK in his memory. Dad was diagnosed with limb girdle muscular dystrophy aged 38 and I have seen the effects this disease has on people's lives. 

To raise money for this important charity I have decided to cycle 1000 miles throughout September. I will be completing this challenge virtually on a turbo trainer and Zwift. I will also record my activity on Strava so that it can be tracked on this page. 

I have set myself a fundraising goal of £1000 as I am doing 1000 miles, however I know my Dad would be pleased with anything I can get. I know he will be on my shoulder encouraging me when I am cycling and will help me get through the tough times when my legs are aching. 

My Dad was the best I could have wished for and I hope I can do him proud.
