Run Maynard Run

London Landmarks Half Marathon 2018 · 25 March 2018 ·
Hi. My name is Natasha and I don't run.
Not for a bus, not for a train, not if I'm late, not for fun....I just don't run.
I lost my beloved Grandad to Alzheimer's in October 2016.
He had been diagnosed 8yrs prior but I didn't accept it. He was my Grandad. My Hero. He was the one who checked my homework, listened to me, taught me, picked me up from school, made me hot chocolate on the weekends & gave me cookies. He also taught me to make "proper dinners" when I left home & was always on the end of the phone if I got stuck with a recipe. We shared a love of music, Max Boyce and the outdoors.
I haven't come to terms with loosing him yet, but I'm determined to do everything I can to help the charity in my grandad's memory.
As I write this, I'm taking part in a Memory Walk for Alzheimer's in October 2017. I can do walking. It's not uncommon for me to walk 8miles on a day out in London. But this Just Giving page isn't about my Memory Walk...this Just Giving Page is about me running!!! Let me say that again...ME....RUNNING!!! A Half-Marathon!!!!
I'm scared. I'm nervous. And I need to get my little legs going. So here I am once again, asking for your money in support of this crazy task I've set myself.
I won't let you down.
I won't let my Grandad down.
And I'm not gonna let myself down.
I'm really doing this! I'm really gonna run a half-marathon!
