This summer Adam, Oscar and I will be taking a very cheap car across Europe from Canterbury to Bratislava completing top secret challenges along the way. We're not crazy, there is a reason for this! We're hoping that by taking part in this challenge we can raise some money for Dementia UK. 

Dementia is a very cruel condition that noone deserves to develop. My family has been particularly unlucky and so I have seen how dementia affects a person and their loved ones, but I'll spare you the sob story. 

So I know what you're thinking ... how is us trekking across Europe got anything to do with Dementia and how is it going to help...

The point is, we have one life and we need to live it. We need to make the most of every opportunity and get out there and have as much fun as possible and challenge ourselves to our absolute limits, because you never know when it's going to come to an end. 

We're doing something different, something that we've never done before to scare us, challenge us and force us into difficult situations. (Including tolerating each other for 7 whole days... that's going to be tough!)  

We're hoping by doing this we'll raise awareness for Dementia UK, raise some money and allow them to provide their services to more people and improve and develop them for the future. More and more people are being diagnosed with Dementia, forcing just as many people to become carers. This charity really does make a difference and with your donations it can help even more families, provide more training for carers and develop its services for the future demands.
