STOP PRESS! You will be relieved to hear that I managed to complete the marathon in 4hrs 34 mins without falling off any cliffs, or down any of the steep hills on the course!
The weather at the start was pretty dismal, but it soon cleared up and we had bright sunshine (along with a brisk wind) for the rest of the course.
Although it was definitely the hardest event I've ever done, the pain was slightly dulled by the stunning scenery....
