Story
In 2007, after many months and hours of grueling training, come rain or shine, wind, hail, ice and even snow, overcoming injury, aching muscles and painful blisters, I made it to the start line of the London Marathon. 4hours 30 mins later I was at the finish line, exhausted but immensely proud! That was almost 10 years ago and how time has flown. To mark this momentous occasion I'm making a return. Sadly, I have to declare that I'm not as fit as I was, although I have kept my love for running going and I'm certainly not as young!!! However, I am eager for the challenge and hope that this will get me through the 26.2 miles...again!
The London Marathon takes place on April 23rd 2017 and I will be running in aid of Sense. Sense is national charity that supports and campaigns for children and adults who are deafblind or have sensory impairments. They have been supporting people who have these impairments for the last 60 years. They take pride in offering services built around the wishes of each person they support enabling them to be as independent as possible. They work with children, young people, adults and older people offering a range of housing, educational and leisure opportunities.
Please can you help me along that long road and show your support for me and Sense.
