Natalie's half marathon run for Petals

Saucony Cambridge Half Marathon 2020 · 8 March 2020 ·
Where to start..
2014 I lost my first baby, without going into too much detail it was an absolutely terrible experience. After copious amounts of therapy I managed to not feel so broken and try to move on with life. 2018 I lost my second baby….. and Christmas 2019 I lost my third….. There are so many effects that this has on women and their families, and fortunately with the help of charities like Petals we have the support we need to help us in our recovery.
Pretty last minute but I have decided to run the Cambridge half marathon for this amazing charity. These marvelous counsellors help bereaved parents when trying to cope with child loss. (Anyone who knows me knows how much I hate running and how much of an accomplishment this will be!)
I'm still recovering and finding life pretty tough, so this is now my main focus and it will get me out and about and helping other women and families like myself.
I really appreciate Petals giving me a place to run in the half marathon. It's going to make a huge difference to me, and I hope in turn it will make a difference to others.
I’d also like to take this opportunity to thank all of my friends, family and colleagues for being so kind and supportive. You’re all amazing and I love you!! Wish me luck because I’ll need it!
:)
