Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
Next June I'll be climbing Kilimanjaro, the largest free-standing mountain in the world! Facing 7 days of trekking in conditions as low as -26 °C, along with the dreaded threat of altitude sickness, this is going to be a major personal challenge for me. However it'll all in be aid of the fantastic charity, Moving Mountains.
Moving Mountains operates sustainable renovation projects in impovrished communities around Kenya. By working at a grassroot level, the charity facilitates long-term improvements in education, health and community infrastructure.
In the week before the climb my team will be helping to build one of their new secondary school projects which is being directly funded by expeditions such as this one. During that time I will be taking photos to show everyone exactly how important their donations are and the ways they are being spent.
My fundraising target is £2300 with half going directly to the charity and the other half covering the park fees and porter costs. NO money donated through the JustGiving page will go towards expenses such as flights or accomodation.
So please give as much as you can, any amount will be greatly appreciated.
