Story

‎إِنَّا لِلّهِ وَإِنَّـا إِلَيْهِ رَاجِعون

"Surely, we belong to God, and verily to Him do we return."

After a 26 month brutal but brave battle with acute myeloid leukaemia, our beloved Nasifa Hannan sadly passed away at sunrise on 1st November 2022, aged 44-years-old ... but she also blissfully did so at home, cradled by her husband and sons on one side, her parents on the other and her siblings by her feet. Nasifa was lucky to have been treated by the wonderful Haematology team at UCLH, and was always grateful for their world-class expertise and perpetual compassion from beginning to end.

Nasifa's husband (Alam) and sons (Aadam and Ibrahim) institute this permanent endeavour to raise funds for the Haematology Cancer Care at UCLH in sadaqah jariyah ('continuous, everlasting and flowing charity') on behalf of Nasifa to support ongoing delivery of transformational and personalised care for all patients with blood cancer by purchase of latest equipment, training of staff and funding research into treatments.

In life, Nasifa was the epitome of kindness, selflessness and charity, and she truly lit up the lives of those around her. After life, Nasifa will continue to be so and do so, thanks to contributions to such sadaqah jariyah. Alam, Aadam and Ibrahim thus gain solace and strength through Nasifa's example, knowing that her light and legacy will inspire and guide their charitable efforts, which will be relayed via regular Updates below👇 ...
