Story
As if running a half marathon wasn't enough, I've taken the plunge and committed to running the whole 26.2 miles of a marathon (aahh!!!).
It seemed reasonable - until I started running further...in the wet...and cold...and dark - now I'm not so sure about it at all :)
So if you would be able to help support me, it is all in aid of the Royal Marsden. My mum is still with us a year on, thanks to the groundbreaking work of the Marsden and that means everything to me.
Last year I had to go back to the Marsden for a repeat mammogram, after a possible abnormality was found. They saw me quickly and with such kindness, and in lovely surroundings. So the work they do is becoming ever more personal (I was clear, btw!).
The Royal Marsden Cancer Charity raises money solely to support The Royal Marsden, a world-leading cancer centre. We ensure our nurses, doctors and research teams can provide the very best care and develop life-saving treatments, which are used across the UK and around the world. From funding state-of-the-art equipment and groundbreaking research, to creating the very best patient environments, we will never stop looking for ways to improve the lives of people affected by cancer.
