Last year (2015) I was diagnosed with a condition called Endometriosis. It is (so far) an incurable condition, of which 1 in 10 woman in the UK are diagnosed. Although this is such a large number it is still relatively unknown, and awareness is very low.
...Not going into too much detail this condition can dramatically change your life. From constant fatigue to unbearable period pains that shoot through your arms and legs, it can be really debilitating.
I have just had to have another round of surgery, (2nd within the year) and whilst being bed bound I have decided that I would like to raise awareness of this condition (lots of woman are still un-diagnosed, and suffering every month) and also to raise some money to go towards research and training.
My plan is to walk the length of Chesil beach with my 2 dogs, it is 18 miles long - so it's a bit longer than we usually walk!!! Due to nesting seasons some of the beach is closed during the summer season - so I will be walking in March or April 2017 (date to be decided - due to to Tidmoor Firing Range Schedule!)
Any donation you would like to make would be amazing, and very gratefully received.
