I've been working for Mothers' Union for just over 2 years and am passionate about the work they do. This isn't just an organisation of old ladies making tea and cakes but one where the members are active in their communities, making a real and lasting difference. Mothers' Union recognises that 'one size fits all' solutions, where outside agencies come in and dictate what to do or give quick fix handouts, don't work in the long term. Our members know their communities and are therefore best placed to identify what solutions work best in what situations and to encourage the whole community to take ownership of a project to ensure its long term effectiveness. Most importantly they are about empowering women by teaching them essential life skills that help them develop a voice within their communities.

Please help me to enable this vital work to continue. Not only that but this long distance running malarkey is really, really, really hard so your sponsorhaip would be an immense encouragement!
