Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

As many of you will know, I am a reluctant swimmer, but decided to undertake the 1 mile Padstow to Rock swim across the Camel estuary in aid of Marie Curie Cancer.

This was a genuinely huge challenge for me, and thank you to all of those who have zipped me into my wetsuit (literally!), been on practice swims with me, patiently been on fitness runs beside me, listen to my generalised whingeing, and hold my phone and DryRobe politely whilst I slowly plodded up and down Clevedon Marine Lake.

And I made it!! Complete with texts of support, and a small band of family (who had nothing better to do!) cheering me on in Cornwall, and handing me a pasty at the end. Many thanks indeed to the excellent Marie Curie organisers for keeping all swimmers safe on the day.

Times have been tough for many in recent times, but I would be very grateful if you felt able to make a small donation to Marie Curie which will help them to help others with their own cancer challenges and journeys.

Thank you
