Story
Ok..so you've got this far! That means your sides are still reeling from the side splitting laughter and total disbelief that overcame you when you heard that I was running the London Marathon in April 2013..all 26.2 miles of it, or you're still in shock! I was, no, am, surprised too!
Now those who know me will understand that I'm no runner - the prospect of a cup of good coffee or glass of any wine far more alluring than pounding the streets! And if you've been away with me you'll know I like a bit of sightseeing - but 26 miles of it...? Not to mention my non-existent sense of direction! I'd only ever run 5k and always wondered how anyone ever got beyond that and kept breathing. Well, I'm finding out...
So far it's taking sheer grit and determination, abstinence, hours of training whilst pretending that it's not killing me, if you see me smiling - you've mistaken a pained expression, blind faith and my total commitment to raising as much money as possible for a life changing charity - Sparks!
So here's the deal.
I'll do the former and you sponsor me! Seems like a good deal for you!
And here's the benefit.
You are helping to fund life changing medical research to improve the lives of children and their families affected by serious illness' and disabilities, working towards saving lives.
I think that's worth running 26.2 miles for. Please support me in raising as much money as possible and making this really worthwhile.
A big Thank you!
