Story

Hello!

Welcome to my JustGiving page :o)

On September 19th 2010 I hope to fulfill a dream of mine to participate in the Bupa Great North Run. For those of you who are unfamiliar with the event it is the world's biggest and most popular half marathon! The 13.1 mile course starts in Newcastle upon Tyne and passes through Gateshead, before finishing on the coast at South Shields (I have attached a course map within my photos). Eeek! Just the thought of it makes me hyperventilate!

I am proud to be one of the 54,000 who is able to take part (more than 100,000 people tried to gain a place!) and represent The Rainbow Trust Children's Charity. This charity is in place to support families who have a child with a life threatening or terminal illness. I really admire the work they do. As the charity relies almost entirely on voluntary donations they require our support.

Please open your heart to me and this charity by becoming a sponser. All donations whether big or small will be greatly appreciated. Although the people who decide to dig a little deeper shows they love/ support me more he he he :o)

Do not hesitate to donate online via JustGiving. It is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to the charity and make sure Gift Aid is reclaimed on every eligible donation by a UK taxpayer! For example Gift Aid is reclaimed from the government, adding £2.82 to your donation. So, for every £10 you give as a UK taxpayer, the charity receives almost £12, and they get it much faster than they would otherwise.

Thank you for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

Please help me fulfill this dream and acheive my target! x

20/09/2010- Day after completing 13.1miles!

Can't believe I've completed the run! I was totally out of my comfort zone by 8 miles. Was gonna cry at 10km, then felt like I was dying by 10 miles! Every mile after that felt like I did 5 miles within 1 mile.

In Summary- I was wet, sore, aching all over, lost the sensation in my toes! Waddled my way home. But it was a awesome day! By far the most challenging thing I've ever done in my life!

Although I've reached my target please donate what you can for this great cause :o)
