Fundraising for Trinity Homeless Projects
Story
As a trustee for Trinity, I get to see the relentless work this non government funded charity is doing - at a time when everyone else has shut their doors - with the sole purpose of ending homelessness for good.
Being homeless is not just a question of putting a roof over someone's head but a complex issue. Through its very pragmatic trust-based, non judgmental and no-BS approach, Trinity provides Home, Health and Hope - at whichever stage the person happens to be.
As the ONLY local organisation open during the pandemic, Trinity offers the following services:
Outreach that engages people sleeping rough with an offer of appropriate housing while providing a meal, warmth, showers and basic necessities 6 days a week
Emergency Housing in the form of Therapeutic Communities designed to help the most entrenched rough sleeper to engage with treatment, housing and employment,
Supported Housing to assist people manage and sustain a tenancy, and
Affordable Housing for people to live independently.
