Story
Hello and thanks for taking time to visit my fundraising page.
I have taken a big punga this time: The London Marathon 2013, yes the full 26.2 miles of it! on foot of course :) The D-day is 21st April and the fundraising target is just as big as the event itself: £10,000 initially but can be revised upwards depending on your response. I need your donations more than ever to get motivated and achieve the goal.
For those of you who don't know me well, I am a big fan of setting myself physical challenges...and then regretting later! I have run one full marathon previously - in Paris in 2007 and have been running the Royal Parks Half Marathon for the last 5 years. This is in addition to the 54 mile London-Brighton bike ride and numerous other 10k runs.
I am blistered and broken after every run but its been worth it as it has helped me raise over £4,000 for charities such as UNICEF, Get Kids Going, British Heart Foundation and Marie Curie Cancer Care. This time I am running for Imran Khan Cancer Appeal for the Shaukat Khanum Cancer Hospital and with your help, hope to raise £10,000 for the poor and needy people requiring expensive treatment for their illness.
If you would like to find out more information about what Shaukat Khanum Memorial Cancer Hospital and Research Centre does, please visit their website https://www.ikca.co.uk/
I hope that my commitment to putting my body through pain in aid of a good cause will encourage you to dig deep into your pockets and donate some money to my appeal. Any donation will be gratefully received!
