Story
Fatima *(not her real name) was left with no income or savings after her husband passed away. She had no other family in the UK. She managed to find a job as a nanny with a French family who had 3 children. She worked in the UK for ten years and assumed her employer was making NI contributions so she would be able to draw a pension when she was older.
Fatima is now 70 years old. Recently, the family she was working for returned back to their country. She made an application for a pension and, to her horror, was told that no contributions were ever made so she could not access any pension to support herself.
She's been sleeping at a busy London Station and eating leftovers from the cafeterias in the evening. She has now applied to National Zakat Foundation for support.
Please help us to raise £2,000 for our Aunty Fatima*. This is a live case and your money will benefit her directly. Any money raised in excess of our target will help towards other NZF cases.
