Story
NCM Fund Services will be helping raise money for Circle this year through a number of activities.
Circle is a Scottish charity working at the heart of deprived communities across central Scotland. Their aim is to support the most disadvantaged children and families, to improve their lives, promote their healthy development and reach their potential.
Circle offers a range of whole family support services that promote children’s healthy development and potential. They engage with families who face exclusion due to social injustice, poverty and health inequalities. Social injustice, poverty and health inequalities are associated with families experiencing drug or alcohol addiction, parental imprisonment, neglect and abuse, family breakdown, involvement with care services, and physical and mental health problems. Circle works alongside the whole family, building on
their strengths.
The two events running are as follows:
Saturday 30th July: Pub Crawl Scavenger Hunt
- To enter the event will be £10 a person, with entry for kids free.
Teams can consist of 2-5 players, decided by yourself (we encourage people to invite their friends and family from outside of work).
Teams will have a staggered start time between 2-4pm starting off at Princess Gardens.
Once you’ve reached your first destination team leaders will message proof via WhatsApp to a designated member of Jenlay. They will in turn receive their next clue. The final destination will be the same for all teams so we can bask in each other’s
company. There will be lots of fun non-drinking activities and tasks for children and those not wishing to get bevvied. Completion of these activities will result in points that will reduce your overall time. There will also be drinking activities.
There will be stunning prizes for the best overall time.
Saturday 27th August: Seven Hills of
Edinburgh
Here we’ll ask the heroes participating to ask for donations from friends and family for completing the seven hills challenge.
We’ll be starting in the morning and ask people to bring their own food supplies for the day.
For those who are not completely exhausted, or aren’t keen on the hike, we’ll be heading to George Square after to revel in our heroic triumph.
