Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
We have decided to walk up and down Snowdon to raise the funds NCAR needs to install industrial/commercial washing machines at the rescue. Their washing has got out of control and currently, are just using domestic machines and they are not coping with the amount of use they get on a daily basis.
So our plan is to raise as much as we can and provide them with industrial/commercial machines, and new vet bedding for all the animals.
Date of the challenge - Sunday 25th June 2017
So we need your help, so please donate to our appeal, we will taking NCAR dogs with us and we are hoping that we can raise lots of money for NCAR so please dig deep.

I started volunteer dog walking at NCAR in 2013 after our rescue dog Nidge (NCAR 2006) died. I generally take a dog who isn't getting out much for a long walk (3-4 hrs) at the weekend. Respite from the kennels for them and pure enjoyment for me. A long walk is a real event for these dogs and their enthusiasm rubs off. I have fancied taking a dog out of kennels to climb a mountain for a while. With the washing machines at NCAR breaking down and a "Mountain of washing" building up as funds are sought for replacements (and purchase of dog bedding that are more easily washed and dried than the heavy cotton often donated for this purpose) I was looking for something I could do. I hope we are able to raise some money towards this appeal

Border Collies are my world. I just adore them. And seeing any dog in a rescue upsets me, but especially Collies. They are such active, working dogs, seeing them in kennels saddens me. I've volunteered on and off for NCAR for years and seen it go under such a transformation to where it is now. Everyone there staff and volunteers do such an amazing job, it's time to give back!
I have three beautiful Collies myself and they are my world. But I have made time to foster some unruly Collies from NCAR in my time from Freddie who was there for 7yrs and is now in a lovely new home. Griff, the wobbly collie who came to me for recuperation from a spinal injury and couldn't cope in kennels, who now is living the life of Riley with Caroline Parry! And to my last collie, and who will forever hold a huge part of my heart and soul. The incredible Handsome Han - he's one of the reasons I'm doing this, he's the one that got away!! If he hadn't have gone to the most fabulous forever home with Joanne & Dave then I would be a failed fosterer right now. So this walk is for you Han and all the Collies, dogs, cats, rabbits and guinea pigs that are waiting for their forever homes to find them. And they will. NCAR will find them for you ❤️
