Story
Many of you will know that we three, James, Tom and Rob, will soon be heading off to Scotland to take on the North Coast 500 (we really hope it's warm....). We decided to take the opportunity during this awesome experience to do some good at the same time for a charity with importance to the group.
The Jessie May Trust was founded in 1996 by James' parents following their experience of the amazing support they received from local hospitals after their daughter Jessica's diagnosis with Spinal Muscular Atrophy. They learnt that the support provided in their local area wasn't widely available and so they set up the Jessie May Trust to help families access the same incredible support they received.
The charity specialises in providing nursing care for terminally ill children in their own homes, which allows for the families to make the most of the precious time they have together and to create treasured memories. So far the charity has supported over 300 children and their families and they continue to provide this amazing service to more and more families each year.
We will be doing the cycle unsupported over 7 days with over 800km of cycling and around 10,000 m of hills. We are using this opportunity to raise awareness for this amazing charity so if you are able, do please donate.
Much love,
James, Tom and Rob
