Charlie Running for the National Brain Appeal

Virgin London Marathon 2013 · 21 April 2013 ·
Just over a year ago I had a brain haemorrhage and fell into a coma. A month later I had brain surgery on the aneurysm that caused it.
It was touch and go for a while.
Today I am fully fit, working, running and still the same old Charlie. That's thanks to the tireless work of a number of consultants, doctors, nurses, paramedics, ambulance drivers and researchers at the National Hospital of Neurology and Neurosurgery. I will never be able to thank them enough.
Now the time has come that I can do something for everyone who finds themselves in that terrifying situation. I have decided to run the London Marathon and raise money for the National Brain Appeal. The hospital is trying to raise £2million in order to open 2 new operating theatres. Not only will this increase capacity but as the NHNN is a teaching hospital it will also help others learn the procedures that saved my life.
I will push my way round 26.26 miles. All you need to do is click the Donate Now button.
Please donate. It will literally save lives.
A MASSIVE thank you.
Charlie.
