Story
As you know i lost my mum last year to cancer. She spent her last days in a wonderful place with staff who were amazing. We laughed when mum was here and cried together when she left us. But during her stay they treated her with respect and dignity which was extended to both my brother and I and also her best friend Renee. All the staff are very special people and i couldnt have wished a better place for her to spend her last days. One night they wanted us to stay close by and deemed Nuneaton too far away. My brother and i stopped in a lovely flat supplied by the hospice so we could stay near her. We really couldnt thank them enough for what they have done for my family.
I feel the need to give something back to this wonderful place and know my mum will be with me for all of the 26.2 miles of the marathon. Please donate what you can to keep these wonderful places in business. Thank you from the bottom of my heart.
The Philpots (and Renee)
At The Myton Hospices we believe that everyone matters for every single moment of their life; we focus on enhancing life when cure is no longer an option. We are leaders in compassionate end of life care; our work centres on our patients and involving them in decisions about their care. Perhaps most importantly we give them more quality time with their loved ones.Last year we supported more than 1,400 people and their families, in our three hospices, via our patient & family support services, and in the community through Myton at Home.
