Story

Somaliland is experiencing the worst drought in over 40 years. Typically droughts can be localised, but this has spread thoughout all of the country and neighbouring countries. Communities have lost the majority of their livetstock. People are dying, especially vulnerable people - brestefeeding mothers, pregnant women, children, disabled people and the elderly. Drought and inflation has caused fuel and food prices to skyrocket. Cooking gas prices have doubled.

If such conditions persisit, a famine will soon come. My brothers and sisters, we are in a position to alleviate these difficulties. As Allah says, 'saving one life is like saving the entire of humanity.' Why waste an opportunity when we can help those most in need?

Animals and livestock do not have food so even they cannot be milked for a source of nutrition.

The basis necessities of food and water can empower entire communities. I your brother, Murshid, will be on the ground, reaching out to the most in need, delivering any little or much you give, to ensure they can have a Ramadan with a smile on knowing you, their global brothers and sisters, have them in your thoughts.

Your kindness, generosity is extremely welcome. This project is open to Sadaqat, and Zakah donations as well.

Water Well:

£3000. A fully functional deep water well, allowing for longetivity of use. These are critical as communities in mass can access water which otherwise they have no access to and have to rely on extremely unsanitary water, causing many health side effects.

Medical Clinic

This is a costly endeavour due to scarcity of supplies in Somaliland. Yet it is extremely necessary due to lack of medical infrastructure, especially in rural parts of the country, where women, children and the vulnerable are most at loss. However, for private donors who are really keen to build one, we have sourced and secured a land, and the project can be carried out immediately, based on donor funding and support. I am also directly involved in the charity to help oversee if we can secure donations for such a project.

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page. May Allah bless you all abundantly.
