Story
We are trying to raise as much money as we can for Yokhill Childrens Foundation, Glasgow.
Myles Mummy and Daddy and other close family and friends will be taking part in the Grand Prix Go-Karting event on the 18th April 2012.
Our family's lives changed when Ashley's 20 week scan revealed that her unborn child had a serious heart defect (Congenital heart disease) Ashley still wished to carry on with the pregnancy and baby Myles entered the world on 4th August 2011.
Myles underwent a procedure when he was just 3 days old and everything went according to plan. A week later he ended up having to go for open heart surgery. At 2 weeks old Myles took a turn for the worst which ended in him being resusitated, Myles pulled through this and was on his way to recovering and we took each day as it came hoping that this would not happen again.
On 30th August 2011 Myles got very ill and ended up back in intensive care which resulted in him being put back on the ventilator. After several long hours the medical staff decided that there was nothing more they could do for Myles and the ventilator was turned off, Myles passed away a few moments later.
We feel very privileged to have had Myles in our lives, although he was only here for 26 days we loved him dearly and he touched so many hearts. We are lucky to have got those precious 26 days with him and wouldn't change that for the world.
We want to thank all the staff that looked after Myles and for there hard work and dedication. We want to raise as much money as we can, so it can allow other sick children to be treated.
Thank you for taking the time to read Myles story. We are grateful for what ever you can donate!
