Story
I am 5 years old and decided to take on the 26 miles challenge for the Kent Air Ambulance as they saved my daddy’s life. I have been running since Sunday 26th April doing measured laps around our field, fitting it in around busy school work. My mum and dad are so proud of me running over 5 miles a day and I am planning to complete the challenge on Thursday. All this hard work is to raise funds for the Kent Air Ambulance team who were there for when my dad required urgent life saving treatment and they managed to keep him alive taking him to hospital. We are so grateful to the the Kent Air Ambulance which is a charity and relies on donations to provide the critical service to those at their time of need, just like my dad.
Following on from my efforts and your amazing support in the last lockdown, I thought I should do something in this lockdown for the AAKSS who saved my daddy’s life. Mummy, Daddy and I decided for the challenge this time we should do it as a family, now that my Daddy is out of hospital. AAKSS set up a ‘challenge 31’ - which was to complete a mile every day of January, but as we didn’t hear about it right from the start of the month, we thought we’d save the challenge up and do the 31 miles in one day on 31st January. We have a hilly course mapped out - Mummy will be running, Daddy will be scooting along in his wheelchair and I will be cycling round this time. It will be a really tough challenge for all of us but together again as a family we are sure we can make it. We would be so very grateful for any support for this lifesaving charity to whom we will be forever grateful.
Thank you very much for your support. Love Murray xx
