Story

Training Blog:

15th April: (M, B & E) Green Barn walk in record time and with very few stops. Tess off the lead in her normal spot and walking to heel ; quite a triumph. Field and trrack starting to dry out at last; but just as well Emz had wellies on. Also completed 30 min gym work this afternoon.

14th April: (M & B) New venue - DWLT Reserve Dunsford. 4 miles along the Teign River; or it would have been, until Mandy decides to take an unsigned route which stopped abruptly. Rather than taking the sensible option of reversing the course; we agree to make our own way down the hill through the woods. (Training note: When the wood ants are out on patrol; best not to be the 3rd one to annoy them!? - think I will take the lead next time)

As you will see from the photo gallery, we have started our training in earnest. Barry and I completed a total of 10 miles over the weekend. On Saturday we were joined by Ross and Emma. So Barry decided to take his camera; shame that even as he approaches his 50th birthday, there is still no sign of "growing up". A new sport of extreme photography, resulted in a large splash and Barry looking very soggy, with blood pouring from his palm and elbow. (Note to self: pack the plasters and tissues next time!). The best bit was that Ross and Emz were there to share in the laughter and to make sure everyone heard about the adventure.
