We research early diagnosis and treatments to beat pancreatic cancer.

Story

A team of seven from Mullis & Peake LLP has entered the annual Lawnet Challenge taking place this year on Mount Snowdon, Wales on Saturday 18th June 2011.  The team will walk, climb and navigate a total distance of 11 miles and will include approximately 3,800 feet of ascent and descent.

The team, consisting of Ashley Avis, Claire Savill, Danielle Salece, Denise Shelton, Helen Beach, Holly Nichols and Sarah Beney are completing the challenge to raise money for Pancreatic Cancer Research Fund.

In June 2010 our friend and partner in our firm, Russell Bell, sadly lost his battle with pancreatic cancer. Russell was a kind hearted and much loved family man who was active and very well respected in the local community and is sorely missed by all of us at Mullis & Peake LLP.

Pancreatic Cancer Research Fund fights to defeat pancreatic cancer by funding and promoting innovative research into the disease. Some 7,700 people are diagnosed with pancreatic cancer each year in the UK.  Despite being the fifth most common cause of cancer death in the UK, pancreatic cancer receives less than two per cent of overall research funding.

Thank you for taking the time to visit our Just Giving page and thank you in anticipation of your support and generosity.

Pancreatic Cancer Research Fund is the only national charity dedicated solely to beating pancreatic cancer through research. Survival rates are low, so new research is vital. In the past, this cancer received little attention. With your help, we can change this so more people beat pancreatic cancer.
