Story
I wasn't going to fundraise this time round while participating in the Great Manchester run later today but as I want to offer support for those closely affected by the atrocity on Monday evening I have chosen to help by trying to raise further funds via British Red Cross Emergency fund (see the link below) or if you prefer donate directly to Once Upon a Smile: https://www.justgiving.com/onceuponasmile who tirelessly support bereaved families in so many ways.
The tragedy in Manchester, at the Arena where I once worked, and stood in the foyer only three hours before the bomb was detonated, is a stark reminder how close to home terrorism is felt and sadly for those closely affected by the atrocity will now live with its horror, and consequences daily.
Manchester is a multicultural, diverse, welcoming, wonderful city and shows its resilience especially in continuing with this positive event, which is to attract around 100,000 people, to stand and run together, and whom I am sure will all remember those closely affected by the atrocity.
Fight hate war; support love, kindness and understanding of each other to build better, safer, harmonious communities, and a wider society.
