When I started growing my hair, I'll admit that it was partly because I missed an appointment, I toyed with the idea of growing my hair long again.  I'd seen a few people around that time donate their hair and realised that I can do something useful.

By growing my hair, I could enjoy having long hair again but with a very specific cause and purpose in mind. I intend to have the big chop in April as I'd like to grow another inch or so to maximise the amount of hair that can be used. The hair that I donate will be used to make wigs for children suffering from cancer but the charity which is based very locally to me also needs to raise funds to pay for the cost of a wig. This is why I have such an ambitious target. They need at least £300 to pay for each wig to be made!

So please, if you feel able to, donate so that not only some of my hair can help improve a child's wellbeing but that we can support the charity financially at the same time.
