Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit our JustGiving page.

Last year 8 of us completed the 'Coast and Castles' cycle ride from Edinburgh to Tynemouth. We raised an outstanding £6470.50 for Huntingtons Disease Association and a moving heroic story about Suzanne Grylls, husband Simon and family as well as helping the charity to make lives of sufferers and their families lives that little bit more bearable.

This year 4 of us from Galliford Try are attempting the 'Way of the Roses' coast to coast bike ride from Morecambe to Bridlington which we hope to complete over two days. We plan to attempt the bike ride on the 5th and 6th of September and are looking forward to 170 miles of hills and pain!

This year we have chosen to raise money for the 'Mr Browell Cancer Research Fund'. A couple of years ago Steve Forster's aunty and uncle were both given the devastating news within weeks of each other that they had bowel and bladder cancer. Fortunately after 12 months of heart break, painful treatment and medication Steve's Uncle received the long awaited news that he was clear of cancer and onto recovery. Steve's Aunty also received the remarkable news of all clear until a routine scan showed devastating results of Breast Cancer. She is currently undergoing further treatment and numerous operations before hopefully another successful recovery. Steve, all of his family and the cyclists want to thank 'Mr Browell Cancer Research Fund' for all of the hard work they do and for the lives of Billy and Mandy Redford by asking for you're help to raise as much money as possible for such a heroic charity. Cancer has affected someone in all our lives so please make a difference.

The cyclists taking part and funding the expenses themselves are
