Mount Toubkal Challenge · 15 April 2022

We‘re the world‘s leading cancer charity dedicated to saving and improving lives through research. We fund research into the prevention, detection and treatment of more than 200 types of cancer through the work of over 4,000 scientists, doctors and nurses.

Story

Since Covid I found more of a love for walking and a feeling that life is too short. I felt I needed a challenge and stumbled across the challenge to climb the highest mountain in North Africa, Mount Toubkal, at 4167m this will not be a walk in the Park. With temperatures starting at around 27° at the bottom of the mountain and getting to below -10 at the top! Not wanting to experience this alone I asked my son Liam, son in-law Connor Everitt, brother Stevie Carroll and good friend Graham Newberry to join me. The challenge is booked for the 15th April 22.

We have all decided that we all know someone very close to our hearts that have suffered at the hands of cancer and that most of you will also have family members or know of someone close that’s had some kind of experience of this horrible disease. So we are raising money for cancer research, please please give what you can as every little really does help.

We are not looking for funding as we have all paid for the trip out of our own pockets, we just want to raise as much money as possible for cancer research 🙏

Thanks
