Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
I'm running in memory of my mum who died in 2011 from lung cancer.
Everything was great November 08, my son Harry was born (a minor miracle for those who know our story) and everyone was well and so excited. 4 months later mum was diagnosed with lung cancer, two years on she passed away.
Mum was a true inspiration, in both her life before illness and then during. Glass always half full, she battled the physical and emotional trauma with great dignity. A terrible disease took a wonderful person too early.
I know one of the hardest things for mum was knowing she'd miss out on her grand-children growing up. And I know Harry will miss out on a truly fantastic grandma.
I've been running now for a few years, it was something I'd never done and is still quite a personal challenge. Mum was brilliant with kids so it seems apt to raise money in her memory for children's and cancer charities.
