Story
Hi there!
I'm Morgen. I started volunteering for the Dons Local Action Group since it's inception at the beginning of lockdown.
I cycled to all of of our 26 sites throughout the Merton, Kingston and Wandsworth boroughs. ( https://www.afcwimbledon.co.uk/news/2020/june/tireless-teenager-morgen-gets-on-his-bike-to-answer-the-call/ )
I cycle almost everywhere and am constantly on the go on my bike.
On the 15th August I'm cycling from AFC Wimbledon's new home of Plough Lane to a Sikh temple in Slough, where they regularly provide us with fresh fruit and veg. We work together to feed those who need our help.
The Dons Local Action Group story:
The story so far.... Set up by AFC Wimbledon fans with a trestle table and a signboard outside Morrisons supermarket in Wimbledon at the very beginning of lockdown, DLAG grew rapidly in the following days and weeks, joined by hundreds of fans and non-fans alike.
It soon became clear that there was so much more need and so much more that we could do. We have so far provided over 23,000 one-week food parcels across the boroughs of Merton, Wandsworth and Kingston. With more than 90 aid agencies making referrals, we are feeding people in food poverty who find themselves without any alternative solution
