I first heard about Anthony Nolan in my freshers year at Leeds uni. A charity that every day saves the lives of people with a blood cancer or blood disorder. A couple friends of mine were volunteering to help get people to sign up to their register to be a blood or bone marrow doner. By getting people to sign up to the register Anthony Nolan are able to try matching individuals willing to donate their stem cells, to people who desperately need a lifesaving transplant. I signed up 6 years ago now and recently heard I might be a potential match for somebody!

To join the register, literally all you have to do is spit in a tube and you could end up having the opportunity to save someone's life. The more people on the register, the more people Anthony Nolan can connect to help save the lives of people in desperate need of a transplant.


It won't cost you anything but it costs Anthony Nolan £60 to put each person on the register, which is why it's so important to keep raising funds so it can continue to grow.

I'm very excited to be running my first marathon for these guys, so any money you can spare to donate will be massively appreciated.
