We inform, educate, inspire, and engage to help young people with epilepsy.

Story

After the unforgettable and successful Skydive experience last year, I became addicted to fundraising for a good cause.

Some of you will think I'm pretty crazy , others will think I'm a bit foolish, I can confirm I am both.

This year I am going to throw myself in at the deep end, pledging to do something of which even the thought is terrifying - WING WALKING on a bi-plane, in order to fundraise for the charity I dedicated 11 years of my life - Young Epilepsy.

The big day is scheduled on Sunday the 10th of July at Damyns Hall Aerodrome in Essex.
Once strapped into the 5 point harness I will take off for a 10 minute ultimate experience which will include zooms and climbs at speeds of up to 130mph !!!
Wish me good luck !!! :D

The money which I hope to raise will go towards the cause I very much care about.

Young Epilepsy (former NCYPE) is the national charity working exclusively on behalf of the 112,000 children and young people aged 25 and under with epilepsy and associated conditions.

They exist to improve the lives of children and young people with the condition to enable them to fulfill their potential and ensure they have the best quality of life.

 Epilepsy facts and stats:

  • Approximately 600,000 people in the UK have epilepsy which is equivalent to around 1 in 103 people.
  • There are at least 40 different seizure types and people may have one or several different seizure types.
  • Around 3% of people with epilepsy are photosensitive, which means their seizures are brought on by flashing lights.
  • The total number of children aged 4 years and under with epilepsy is approximately 1 in 509.
  • The number of children and young people aged 18 years and under with epilepsy is near 1 in 220.
  • The numbers of young people who are 25 years and under with epilepsy is around 112,000.
  • More than one in five people with epilepsy have learning or intellectual disabilities.

Thank you for your support and I am grateful for your donations to help this really worthy cause.

"THE SMALLEST ACT OF KINDNESS IS WORTH MORE THAN THE GRANDEST INTENTION.."

THANK YOU!!
