Story
I am running the 2017 London Marathon for Great Ormond Street Hospital Children's Charity on behalf of the Monarch Foundation.
I'm one of a team of four Monarch flight crew and we are aiming to break the world record for the fastest four person team in costume - and we have a challenge on our hands! The current record to beat is 05:25:02 so we are training hard individually and as a team.
We will be running in a custom made Monarch aircraft made by Monarch Aircraft Engineering apprentices and we are running to support Monarch's charity partners GOSH and Macmillan Cancer Support.
I have chosen to run for GOSH because fundraising is vital to them in providing world class care for poorly children. GOSH is one of the top five paediatric hospitals in the world and treats children from all over the UK with complex and often life-threatening conditions. GOSH specialises in more than 50 paediatric areas and is dedicated to children's healthcare and finding new and better ways to treat childhood illnesses.
Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure and the money goes directly to GOSH.
Thank you for supporting GOSH and me.
