On 14th June, my friend Sean and I will be taking part in an attempt to break a skydiving world record. We'll be joining other skydivers and flying up to the dizzying heights of 10,000 feet, with the aim to complete the most tandem skydives in one day. Are we crazy? Probably. Are we terrified? Yes, extremely! So why are we doing this...?

We are jumping to raise much needed funds for Beating Bowel Cancer, a UK charity dedicated to raising awareness and providing support to patients and their families. Bowel cancer is very treatable when caught early, but the biggest problem is that when it is diagnosed in younger people, it is very often at a late stage which makes it really hard to be cured. This is partly because it's relatively rare in people under 60, and partly because the symptoms of bowel cancer are very often the same as symptoms for many other, less serious issues.
