We fund lifesaving research to to tackle heart and circulatory diseases

Story

To celebrate the wonderful Mollie King's birthday in June and to build on the amazing success of Mollie’s birthday fundraiser last year for Dyslexia Action, we thought it would be a nice idea - in addition to the traditional Birthday Book - for the fans to donate money to The British Heart Foundation  the charity that Mollie is working hard on their behalf to help stamp out heart disease, the biggest killer in the United Kingdom as her grandad died of a heart attack.

Mollie is helping to help raise awareness for this amazing charity and we can all help by donating some money, no matter how little or large. On a personal level my (Rosie) grandma and granddad both had heart problems and my granddad had a heart attack, so would be a lovely way to celebrate the lives in memory of two of the most inspiring people who were in my life by raising money to a charity close to my heart too. They both never let any health complications get them down and always tried to live life to the full, and were both incredibly kind generous people. My grandad also had the funniest Irish sense of humour. So hopefully this will make them proud.

Mollie is a committed supporter of the BHF having been the face of the Ramp Up The Red fundraising campaign in February for the last two years and will present the Roll Out The Red Ball on February 10th where all proceeds raised on the fundraising evening will go towards the fight against heart disease, an illness which kills around 160,000 per year. Earlier this year, the Mollie also donated her winnings from ITV's The Cube to the effort, an impressive £100,000.

Mollie says: “The BHF is a cause that is particularly important to me, as my grandfather sadly passed away after suffering a heart attack when I was younger. The BHF has already made vital discoveries in the prevention and treatment of heart and circulatory conditions but there is still so much work to be done.”

Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving - they'll never sell them or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they'll send your money directly to the charity. So it's the most efficient way to donate - saving time and cutting costs for the charity.

Many thanks from

Rosie, Claire and Matt
