Story

Moira Jocelyne Gill: 24th November 1923 - 6th April 2010.

I've created this page in loving memory of Mummy, who sadly passed away on Tuesday 6th April 2010 at 3.45pm.

Mummy had been at Murley House Care Home in Taunton for 9 years and suffered from Dementia for many years, hence choosing Dementia Research for your kind and generous donation.

Mummy was a flamboyant person, a real 'one off', an ex dancer - she was very showbiz with a great sense of humour and there was no shortage of parties in our household.

With her love for animals, following her showbiz career, she became a vetinary nurse and opened an animal sanctuary in Fulham, London.

It was very sad to see my Mother, who was so flamboyant, deteriorate in such a dreadful way over the last few years to this dreadful disease. Surely there's more that can be done to help, especially when we think that many of us, statistically, will go the same way if a cure cannot be found.

Thank-you again for your kind and generous donation to Dementia Research.

Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to the charity and make sure Gift Aid is reclaimed on every eligible donation by a UK taxpayer.

Much love

Moira (jnr)

xx
