MitsuRunsLondon2021 for Sarcoma UK

London Marathon 2021 · 3 October 2021 ·
In September 2018 Dad was diagnosed with Sarcoma. On Christmas Eve 2018, Dad’s fate was sealed when doctors told us it was terminal. By February 2019 Dad was no longer with us. I can imagine some of you are wondering, as we were, what is Sarcoma ? Sarcoma is a form of cancer, not something we had heard of before and as you can guess, we googled and searched for answers - what caused it, what are the treatments, why did it happen, is it hereditary. The Sarcoma UK charity website and helpline immediately became a source of information for us. It answered our questions and the helpline helped us come to terms with what to expect.
Running a marathon won’t come close to the challenges that Dad experienced in his battle those last few months of his life but training and running London 2020 will be one of the biggest challenges for me - I always said to myself that if I did run a marathon there had better be a good reason for it and what better reason than to run in memory of Dad.
I’m not one to beg but ......Please please please donate whatever you can and help me reach my target for Sarcoma UK to help find better treatments, ensure people get the care they need, and fund expert information and support for anyone who needs it.Thank you for visiting my page.
