Story
The Mission High Water (MHW) team will attempt to be the first female led dive team to successfully complete the combined scuba diving mountaineering ‘Three Lakes Challenge’ in aid of Dorset and Somerset Air Ambulance.
The MHW team met whilst working together at Vobster Quay and have remained friends ever since. They have decided to embrace their love for both the outdoors and underwater 'pond dipping' through an expedition like no other!
The MHW team chose to fundraise for DSAA because of the vital service it provides.
Those who take part in remote outdoor activities in the UK rely on our emergency services when things go wrong. However, operational costs of the DSAA helicopter are £1.7 million per year – equating to over £2,500 per mission. The DSAA receive no direct funding from the Government or the National Lottery. They rely almost entirely on charity support. The DSAA are essential in ensuring rapid treatment.
Suunto diving have generously donated dive computers to the MHW team. For every £2 donated you will be automatically entered into a charity prize draw to win a dive computer! These computers will be brand new before being worn by the MHW team - if won, the only dives they will have logged will be those from the challenge!
