Story
Yay! success!! The weather was beautiful on Friday, I had a great day. The experiance was brilliant and i would persuade anyone to give it a go if they had a chance.
Thank you to everyone who donated, online as well as on paper.. All the money will be put to good use.
:D
Thanks for taking the time to look at my charity page.
Unfortunatly the whether was rubbish on the 20th (it was too windy and very cloudy!) so i wasn't able to jump.
However... it has been rebooked for the 9th of April!
I am trying to raise money for Shelter, the homelessness and housing charity, by jumping out a plane at 10,000ft!
All donations will go straight to Shelter, and I'll be putting the video up on facebook!
If seeing my random facial expressions isn't enough.. then here is a brief description of some of the good work that Shelter do;
Not only have they help to provide a safe houses and places for the homeless to stay in, over the years they have branched out to many areas to provide better living conditions for many people. They work to help people who are unfairly evicted for their houses, to make sure that landlords keeps to their contract and maintain the accommodation they are letting. More recently they have given out donations to people who were suffering this winter as they didn't have enough money to afford adequate heating as we had a particularly cold winter. One of Shelters' big aims has been working with MP's to increase the pressure on the government to provide affordable housing... something that all students should be glad to hear of!
