Thanks for taking the time to visit my page.
I am participating in the London Marathon and fundraising for Lupus UK.
Many of you know my story and so I will try not to bore you more - I run in gratitude, because I can and many who really want to can’t. I am grateful for the gift of my health.
Running marathons has given me the biggest appreciation for the resilience of the human body and the sheer will power people I meet exhibit. I celebrate them with my runs.
A little different this time as I have picked up a stress injury to my Fibula and can only walk with my foot in a compression boot and using crutches. I have kept this race despite not being able to ‘compete’ because everyday people try daily at extraordinary things and this is no different. I obviously will don’t do anything to worsen my prognosis or health.
I chose Lupus UK because Lupus is an invisible illness that can have quite debilitating symptoms and they are a fantastic resource not only for me but for other people with lupus and their families.
Please help me raise some money and increase awareness of this condition that very disproportionately affects women.
Any money you donate will make the blisters worthwhile 😄
Once you donate, JustGiving send your money directly to the charity. So it's the most efficient way to donate - saving time and cutting costs for the charity.
