Our Annual Sponsored Ride is our biggest fundraising event. Over the last 45 years we have raised over £1 million with over £375,000 for the Royal Marsden Cancer Charity alone. The ten mile ride covers Wimbledon Common and Richmond Park and finishes with lunch and prize giving at the Stables. To make it more fun (and challenging!) everyone wears fancy dress and the parade down the High Street on the way out and back is a real highlight of the day. In 2021 we will be supporting the Wimbledon and Putney Commons Conservators in order to raise money to improve the riding facilities on Wimbledon Common. WVS Members are invited to take part in the ride on either Sunday or Tuesday so put the date in your diary and start planning your costume!
