As you may know, I am involved with a youth organisation called Young Life. Young Life is a world-wide organisation that aims to build relationships with teenagers from all walks of life, meeting them where they're at and introducing them to Jesus, loving them unconditionally regardless of their response. I have been involved for 5 years, as a young person, a student leader, and currently as an adult leader. Young Life has had a profound impact on my life and my faith, and I want to impact other young people in the same way.

One of the amazing things Young Life provides are week long residential summer camps, where young people from all backgrounds are taken on an unforgettable adventure. These camps have full-time staff but also rely on hundreds of young adult volunteers known as Summer Staff to make each week of camp achievable and an amazing experience for each camper.

Currently, Summer Staff, a month long volunteer position, is only in America and Canada, which has over 15 camps throughout the country. This summer, I have been placed at a camp in Florida called Southwind, where I will be working mostly as kitchen staff, but will also have the opportunity to meet and build relationships with hundreds of campers aged 11-14.

While I have this exciting opportunity to serve in a foreign country and learn skills that I can bring back to Young Life in Hoddesdon, I cannot do it without financial support. While there is no cost to be on Summer Staff, the travel and lodging expenses on the way will come to around £800. Would you consider supporting me with part of this cost and sponsoring me on this 30 mile bike ride?
Any extra money raised beyond my trip will go straight to the work of Young Life in Hoddesdon.
