Maggie's Culture Crawl London · 27 September 2019 ·
On the night of 27th September, Jane, Tom and I will be walking 10 miles through the streets of London, for Maggie's Culture Crawl. Then, on the morning of 29th September, I will be doing my first 10k (in Cambridge), also to raise money for Maggie's.
Jane, Tom and I have all been affected by cancer, and know first-hand what a difference organisations such as Maggie's can make to people with cancer, their friends and families. Maggie's Cambridge provided me with practical, emotional and social support when I was treated for cancer, and without them things would have been a lot tougher. We're raising money so that other people can receive the same kind of support when they need it.
*£20 can pay for a nutrition class to help someone with cancer to learn how to choose and prepare food that's right for them, whatever stage of cancer they're at.
*£50 pays for a family to attend a Maggie's kids' day, which help children to understand and come to terms with a parent having cancer.
*£140 pays for an exercise class for people going through cancer treatment, which will them build stamina and confidence.
It costs £2400 to keep a Maggie's Centre open for a day!
